Tragic Assault on EURO 2024 Star’s Dad
The father of teenage football sensation Lamine Yamal, Mounir Nasraoui, was the victim of a brutal stabbing in Mataró, Spain. The incident, which occurred in a car park around 9 pm, left Nasraoui with serious back injuries. He was rushed to Can Ruti hospital where he remains in intensive care but is reportedly recovering. Reports suggest a history between Nasraoui and the attackers, with three individuals now arrested for attempted murder, while a fourth is still at large.
Heated Confrontation Caught on Camera
Earlier on the day of the attack, Nasraoui was involved in a heated argument on the streets of Mataró, captured on video at around 3.45 pm. The altercation began when a group of men threw water at Nasraoui from a balcony as he walked his dog. The police intervened to separate the parties. It is not yet confirmed if the men in the footage are connected to the stabbing.
Police Investigation Underway
The regional Mossos d’Esquadra police force has taken three suspects into custody and continues to investigate the level of their involvement in the crime. A spokesperson stated that the circumstances leading to the stabbing and the prior argument are key to the ongoing probe. Further arrests may follow as the investigation progresses.
