Transfer expert Florian Plettenberg reports that Guirassy, aged 28, has expressed his desire to Stuttgart to pursue a transfer when the summer window opens. The Guinea international’s goal-scoring prowess has put him firmly on Arsenal’s radar, as they consider bolstering their attacking options.
Competition Heats Up for Guirassy’s Signature
Arsenal, however, may find themselves in a competitive battle to secure Guirassy’s services. Both Borussia Dortmund and AC Milan have also shown significant interest in the striker. Previously, in January, Newcastle and Manchester United were rumoured to be considering a move for him, while SunSport reported that Guirassy had a preference for Tottenham before the last transfer window.

Aside from their interest in Guirassy, Arsenal are also reportedly planning a move for Spain’s Mikel Merino. The former Newcastle midfielder, currently with Real Sociedad, has been instrumental in establishing the club as a formidable force in LaLiga. Arsenal’s manager, Mikel Arteta, is eyeing Merino as a potential replacement for Granit Xhaka, especially since Merino’s contract is set to expire next year. However, Barcelona’s emerging interest could complicate Arsenal’s pursuit of the Spanish midfielder.
