MIKEL ARTETA officially has a WORSE record after his first 19 league games than the club’s last four bosses, including flop Unai Emery.
The Gunners slumped to a shock 1-0 defeat at relegation-threatened Aston Villa on Tuesday night.
The defeat means Arteta has now picked up just 30 points from his first 19 games, with his Arsenal down in tenth in the Premier League.
The Spaniard – formerly Pep Guardiola’s No2 at Manchester City – has won just EIGHT of those 19 games, drawing six and losing five.
Arteta’s job at the Emirates doesn’t appear to be in any danger despite the inconsistent results.
Arsenal had previously beaten Man City in the FA Cup and Liverpool in the league.
But Emery – linked with the soon-to-be-vacant job at Villarreal – will have every reason to feel frustrated.

Club chiefs failed to persevere with the ex-Paris Saint-Germain chief, sacking him after little over a season.
Through his first half-season, Emery amassed a whopping 11 wins, including just three defeats – a total of 38 points.
Emery‘s predecessors, Arsene Wenger and Bruce Rioch, both performed better than Arteta, too.
The pair boasted an identical record in their first 19 league games, winning eight and losing four with seven draws, for 33 points.

George Graham, much like Emery, won 11, drew five and lost just three of his first handful of matches in charge.
The defeat at Villa Park saw Arteta lead Arsenal to their THIRD straight season losing ten Premier League games.
It’s the first time the Gunners have struggled since their torrid decade in the 1980s, where they managed the feat seven times between 1981-82 and 1987-88.
And Arsenal can point to their abject first-half performances for that record this season.
Incredibly, the Gunners have gone into half-time trailing in 13 of their 37 Premier League games this term.
The last time that happened, in 1994-95, Arsenal ended up 12th…
Fortunately for Arteta, it’s impossible for his side to finish lower than tenth this season.
