A trio of newly-available Aston Villa players will not be in any rush to leave despite being put up for sale, according to Michael Brown.
The former Leeds United and Tottenham star, speaking exclusively to Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge, believes Frederic Guilbert, Henri Lansbury and Anwar El Ghazi could snub the chance to depart ahead of Friday’s transfer deadline.
As revealed by Football Insider, Bournemouth are plotting a late move to sign the French defender while the English midfielder and Dutch winger are also available to loan or buy.
None of the trio have featured for Villa in the Premier League this season, although El Ghazi has been left as an unused substitute for two of their three games.
However, despite their lack of game time, Brown believes that they could turn down a chance to leave for a Championship side to stay in the Premier League.
Asked if he thought any of the trio would seal a move before Friday, Brown told Football Insider: “Well, again, only if they want to do that, if they feel like they want to go and move.
