Brentford boss Thomas Frank says he has been in touch with Christian Norgaard and Mathias Jensen since Christian Eriksen suffered a cardiac arrest.
The Inter Milan playmaker is recovering in hospital after collapsing suddenly during Denmark’s match with Finland at Euro 2020 last weekend.
Brentford’s Jensen ended up replacing Eriksen when the match resumed hours later, while the former’s club teammate Norgaard was an unused substitute.
Asked if he has contacted Norgaard and Jensen, Frank told talkSPORT: “Yeah, I’ve been texting them to give my support.
“In that situation, the most important thing is the staff around the national team, the family and their closest friends.
“I texted them to give my support, but it’s for me to back off and for other people to step in.”
Eriksen posted a positive update on his health condition from hospital by revealing he ‘feels okay’ on Tuesday.
And Frank is thrilled about his countryman’s stable condition.
He said: “It was a crazy experience for everyone in Denmark to see what happened to Christian.
“It was a big shock for everyone in Molde and it put life into perspective that the most important thing is friendships and family.
“It’s been a big shock, but the best thing is that Christian is good and stable and we can move on.
“I know a lot of the players in the team and the staff and the coach… it [hit] really close.”
