Noel Whelan insists it would be “absolutely brilliant” business if Celtic can sell Tom Rogic for a fee in the region of £4million this summer.
The former Leeds and Aberdeen striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge, believes the Hoops should bite a club’s hand off to sell the attacking midfielder for a seven-figure fee.
As revealed by Football Insider, the Bhoys are prepared to cash in on the 27-year-old and have a £3.6million bid on the table from an unnamed Qatari outfit.
It is understood manager Neil Lennon is planning on using the money gained from the Australia international’s sale to reignite a move for Motherwell playmaker David Turnbull.
Rogic is yet to play for the Bhoys this season, with just two unused substitute appearances to his name so far.
Whelan believes that getting close to £4million would be a sensational bit of business for a player who has slipped down the pecking order at Parkhead.
