Chelsea break British transfer record to sign Enzo Fernandez, Manchester United complete Marcel Sabitzer move, Arsenal sign Jorginho, Tottenham land Pedro Porro

The transfer window closed on Tuesday to complete a record month of spending in English football.

Premier League clubs paid £815m in total in the January window with more than £275m spent on deadline day alone.

Chelsea were the biggest spenders of the month and saved their biggest deal for deadline day, breaking the British transfer record to sign Enzo Fernandez from Benfica for a fee of £106.8m.

Arsenal also did business, signing Jorginho for a fee rising to £12m from their London rivals, while Man United completed a late loan move for Marcel Sabitzer.

Man City allowed Joao Cancelo to move to Bayern Munich, and Tottenham finally landed Pedro Porro while Matt Doherty sealed a shock surprise move to Atletico Madrid.

Nottingham Forest, meanwhile, completed a treble.
