FORMER Brazil youth star Nathan has been dumped by Chelsea without making a single appearance in five years.
The attacking midfielder, 24, has joined Atletico Mineiro for just £3million after a lengthy loan spell.
Nathan was brought to Stamford Bridge in 2015 from Atletico Paranaense for £4.5m.
Hopes were high after he scored eight goals in 19 games for Brazil’s youth teams.
And Nathan was immediately loaned to Chelsea’s Dutch affiliate Vitesse Arnhem for two seasons.

However, he failed to make an impact in the Eredivisie.
And Nathan ended up playing for both French side Amiens and Portuguese outfit Belenenses the following term.
Atletico Mineiro took him on loan in 2018, with Nathan ending up making 48 appearances.

Mineiro were hoping to extend Nathan’s loan, but instead they’ve now been able to sign him for just £3m.
It’s believed Chelsea were hoping to pocket at least £6.5m.
But the Blues have decided £3m is acceptable and Nathan is now an official Mineiro man.
However, the fee won’t be able to cover much of Chelsea’s summer spending.
They’ve already spent around £85m on RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner and Ajax’s Hakim Ziyech.
And there could be more arrivals to follow.
West Ham ace Declan Rice is seen as a potential new centre-back.
And Everton’s Lucas Digne could be drafted in at left-back.
Meanwhile, Bayer Leverkusen playmaker Kai Havertz has his heart set on the Premier League.
And young talent Angel Gomes is up for grabs after leaving Manchester United on a free transfer.
