MASON MOUNT has bought Vitesse Arnhem season tickets for Dutch health workers who cannot afford them.
The Chelsea star has been hailed by his former side after stepping in to fund season tickets for health workers in the Netherlands battling coronavirus.
Mount spent a season at Vitesse in the 2017/18 season and became a huge hit.
He was named the club’s Player of the Year after 13 goals and 10 assists in the Eredivisie.
And Mount’s astonishing progress saw him link up with Frank Lampard at Derby the following season.
The versatile midfielder was then thrust into Chelsea’s squad last summer and has become a key member of the team, leading to his first England appearances.
And Mount has paid back Vitesse with the kind offer of buying season tickets for health workers who are unable to afford them.
Ex-Chelsea goalkeeper Eduardo also chipped in, as did former Vitesse men Vyacheslav Karavaev and Louis Laros.
The Dutch side tweeted: “The support of our (former) players is great!
“Also @masonmount_10, Vyacheslav Karavaev, @Loweietje73 and Eduardo purchase season tickets!
“They make supporters and care workers happy who are unable to purchase season tickets themselves.”
