More than 50 drug busts have been carried out and people searched during a police crackdown on a city pub.
Last weekend, officers teamed up with The Spitfire in Eastleigh in a bid to reduce drug use at the venue.
Following concerns about drugs being taken at the pub, police used a drug spectrum analyzer to check for substances at the door.
The device takes test swabs from people’s hands and compares them to a database for all known chemical compounds in drugs and prescription drugs.

A total of 55 drug busts were carried out during the operation, 14 of which tested positive for a trace of illegal drugs.
However, this was not enough to give the police reason to search these people and tips were given.
Three other people tested positive for a high level of illegal drugs and were searched but nothing was found.
A spokesman for the force said on Facebook: “Once again we would like to thank The Spitfire for their continued co-operation in this trial use of the drug spectrum analyzer for Operation Swoop.”
