Dyche On Danjuma’s Qualities

Everton manager Sean Dyche has praised the qualities and versatility of Arnaut Danjuma after the Netherlands international became the Blues’ second signing of the 2023 summer transfer window.

The 26-year-old forward, who can operate on the wing or as a centre-forward, completed a season-long loan move to Villarreal’s Goodison Park on Sunday.

Speaking about the latest addition, Dyche revealed how Danjuma adds a valuable new dimension to Everton’s attack.

“Arnaut is a welcome addition to our squad who has proven experience in the Premier League, La Liga, Champions League and as a Dutch international,” said the Blues manager. evertonfc.com.

“His attacking versatility strengthens our forward options and we look forward to him showing his qualities for Everton next season.”

Everton director of football Kevin Thelwell agreed, adding: “We are clear admirers of Arnaut’s quality, which is why we were so keen to bring him to Everton.

“He will be an excellent addition to Sean’s squad, with the ability to play across the front line and as a centre-forward, where he often played at Villarreal.

“We respected his decision not to join in January. That’s football. But we’ve always had a good relationship with Arnaut and the important thing is that he’s an Everton player now.

“We are delighted to be able to secure a player of his ability on loan and have every confidence that he will prove to Evertonians what a quality player he is.”
