England World Cup squad announced – Newcastle United trio named in 26 man squad


England’s World Cup squad has been revealed.

Gareth Southgate reveals the 26 players he will take to Qatar.

This England World Cup squad includes three Newcastle United players.

Well done to Kieran Trippier, Callum Wilson and Nick Pope who have all been excellent for Newcastle this season.

Bruno Guimaraes was the first Newcastle United player to be confirmed as going to the World Cup finals in Qatar. named in the Brazilian national team on Monday.

Then on Tuesday, Garang Kuol became the second.

On Wednesday morning it was Fabian Schar’s turn, named in the Swiss national team.

Gareth Southgate has taken six Newcastle United players in total to Qatar, so far.

Friday will see Holland name their final 26-man squad. Sven Botman hopes to survive the cut from the 39 named in the provisional squad to the final 26.
