Valentina Cervantes, the former fiancée of Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez, has announced her plans to travel to London with their two children to welcome the New Year together. The couple, who ended their six-year relationship earlier this year, are set to reunite for a family gathering as they navigate their new co-parenting dynamic.
From Heartbreak to Family Reunion
Following a shocking breakup that left Valentina reeling, she returned to Argentina with their children, Olivia, aged four, and one-year-old Benjamin. The split was confirmed at the end of October, but Valentina has now confirmed that they will make the journey to the UK for a family reunion on December 31st.
In a recent interview with Argentine newspaper La Nacion, Valentina shared her thoughts on the upcoming trip. “Enzo asked me to go to London for Christmas,” she said. “But I told him I preferred to spend it here in Argentina because the kids have more cousins and it makes the moment of opening gifts and everything else more special. But for the 31st, we’ll travel there and spend it together.”
Keeping the Kids Happy
Valentina expressed her commitment to ensuring their children have a joyful experience during this transitional period. She quipped, “I’m not going to go to Big Ben with a cider alone. We talked about it, and he has no problem with it, and neither do I, in that I know how to separate things.” She plans to stay in London for a few days to tie up some loose ends before returning to Argentina, leaving the children with Enzo for a bit longer.
A Complicated Relationship
Despite the breakup, Valentina revealed that she and Enzo continued to share a home for ten days after the split, which led to some intimate moments as a form of closure. “Yes, some days, as a goodbye,” she admitted when asked if they had been intimate after their separation.
Reflecting on the split, Valentina stated, “I think it was a combination of things on his part. He made the decision and I respected it. We have two children together.” She acknowledged that Enzo is focusing on his football career and personal growth, which may have contributed to their relationship’s end.
Addressing Rumours and Moving Forward
Rumours have circulated regarding Enzo’s potential romance with Argentinian rapper Nicki Nicole, but Valentina clarified that she had asked him about these claims. “I wanted to know because I think as the mother of the children I have to know and he told me they weren’t together,” she explained. “Olivia listens to Nicki Nicole’s songs, I was thrilled – I think they met once. Not alone, in a group.”
Valentina emphasised the importance of mutual respect in their co-parenting arrangement, stating, “We’ve talked about the fact that if either of us starts a new relationship in the future, we will inform each other out of respect because we share two children together.” This understanding highlights their commitment to maintaining a supportive family environment for their kids.
Enzo’s Journey at Chelsea
As for Enzo, who joined Chelsea for a staggering £106 million, his journey has had its ups and downs. He faced challenges during his first year, grappling with injuries and a lack of consistency. However, recent performances suggest that he is finding his footing at the club after overcoming a rough patch.
In a candid moment, Enzo reflected on his struggles, stating, “When I arrived it was very difficult, the first year and a half here, change of coaches, the club wasn’t doing well, personal injuries. I was not satisfied with what I had been showing.” Now, he appears to be regaining his form and confidence on the pitch.

As Valentina prepares for her trip to London, she remains focused on the well-being of their children. “But we will always be family and we will support each other in everything because there are two children in the middle who need a lot of our love for them,” she affirmed.
