The Lowdown: Everton linked with Sarr
Earlier this month, it was reported that the Toffees are interested in signing the £40,000-a-week Senegalese winger.
Before playing four games for his country at the World Cup, the 24-year-old had scored six goals and provided three assists in 18 Championship appearances for Watford this season.

With the January transfer window about to open, some details have emerged on what Everton might need to land the winger.
The latest: Jones abandons Sarr claim
Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, Jones had this to say about Sarr and the possibility of Everton making a move to sign him next month.
“If they’re scouting this one I think they’ll probably find it’s going to take a big offer to land him because Watford are trying to keep the door closed on that.
“I’m told he won’t leave in January unless it’s a very, very big offer, mainly because they still want promotion and need him.”
The verdict: a financial bet
Described by Ben Foster as a “shrill” attacking player, Sarr would follow in the footsteps of Richarlison and Abdoulaye Doucoure if he were to move from Vicarage Road to Goodison Park in the coming weeks.
In addition to his goals and assists in the second division, only Joao Pedro (39) has had more shots on goal than the winger (38) at his current club.

If not
In addition, only one other player has taken more crosses inside the 18-yard box than the winger (8), which further shows the offensive impact he has.
While the Watford star clearly has significant attacking talent, the financial aspect of a potential January deal is certainly something Everton and their hierarchy will need to consider before launching a move for to him.
