Everton Reveals Fan-Led Events For Sydney Super Cup

The Everton Supporters’ Club Australia (ESCA) has been working alongside the club’s Fan Engagement team to deliver a series of fan-led events to celebrate the Blues’ visit to Sydney later this month.

Frank Lampard’s side will travel Down Under to take on reigning Scottish champions Glasgow Celtic (Sunday November 20) and Western Sydney Wanderers (Wednesday November 23) as part of the inaugural Sydney Super Cup.

With a large contingent of Blues expected to make the trip, supporters from across Australia have been working with the Club to create a program of events that will provide a special welcome for fans.

Everton’s first team squad will hold an open training session at the Accor Stadium on Friday 18 November (6.30pm AEDT). The session will allow fans to watch the Blues stars get tested around 48 hours ahead of their clash with Celtic at the same venue. No tickets are required for the free training event, which is open to fans of all ages.

The Aurora Hotel will be the Evertonians’ pre-match and post-match meeting point before and after the Club’s first game against Celtic on November 20. Blues can meet at the bar on Elizabeth Street in Surrey Hills for breakfast or brunch from 10am (AEDT) and the bar welcomes Blues back from the game from 5pm.

Hotel Aurora is located opposite Central Station, which may be the station that some fans will use to take the train to the game. Evertonians will be able to catch a special ‘Everton Train’ from platforms 4-7 of Central Station directly to the Accor Stadium. Trains will run every 15 minutes between 12.30pm and 2pm and will be lit up blue in honor of Evertonians for the occasion.
