FRANK LAMPARD’S Chelsea scored and conceded the EXACT same number of goals in 2019-20 as his Derby side did last season.
The Blues hit the back of the net 69 times from their 38 Premier League games this season, while letting 54 in the other end.
Chelsea scored and conceded the same amount of goals this season as Lampard’s Derby last term
Lampard enjoyed identical goal-scoring – and conceding – seasons in 2018-19 and 2019-20
In a spooky turn of events, those figures are precisely the same as Derby’s Championship tallies from Lampard‘s final season at the club.
And that is by no means the only weird and wonderful stat from the 2019-20 Premier League season… read more here.
In 2018-19 Derby played 46 league matches – meaning his Chelsea side this time around did in fact score more and concede more per game.
With Chelsea, Lampard led his side to 1.82 goals scored per game – and 1.42 conceded per match.

At Derby a year earlier, his tallies were 1.5 goals per game scored and 1.17 allowed.
While Lampard will have no qualms with his side’s attacking intent, he will surely have worries over his defence.
Chelsea have looked shoddy in defence with the centre-back and left-back spots needing particular attention.
The Blues have already signed attackers Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner this summer – with Kai Havertz said to be on his way.
But Lampard will no doubt have some defensive targets in mind as he looks to get his goals per game conceded ratio down.
Ben Chilwell has been linked with a move to the club, with current left-backs Emerson and Marcos Alonso set to be sold this summer.
Kalidou Koulibaly is also on their radar as the club aim to bolster the heart of their back-line.
