Furious Tottenham boss Mourinho warned by fourth official after ranting over shocking VAR decision in Sheff Utd tie

JOSE MOURINHO was left seething after Harry Kane’s goal against Sheffield United was ruled out by VAR.

The Tottenham boss received a warning from the fourth official as he argued against the decision.

Jose Mourinho claimed Harry Kane’s equaliser should have counted

Kane found the net just one minute after Sander Berge gave the home side the lead.

The England ace latched onto a loose ball then slotted his strike past Dean Henderson.

But Tottenham’s joy was short-lived after the build-up was reviewed by the video assistant referees.

VAR Michael Oliver ruled out the goal after he spotted Lucas Moura had handled the ball as he fell to the ground – even though he had been fouled.

Mourinho was clearly in disagreement with the decision – and he was not the only one.

Pundit Jamie Redknapp said: “This is one of the worst decisions I’ve ever seen.

“The fact we can’t go back on this, it’s accidental, he’s not meant it.

Lucas Moura unintentionally struck the ball with his hand as he fell to the ground

“Why can’t we show common sense. It’s common sense.

“This is ruining football. Are we convinced it hits his arm? He’s falling over.

“That is a horrendous decision. SO bad.”

Tottenham’s celebrations were cut short by VAR
