What’s next?

Arsenal travel to Los Angeles to face Barcelona at the SoFi Stadium on Wednesday night, before crossing the Atlantic again to face Monaco in the Emirates Cup on August 2.

Manchester United have three games left on their pre-season tour of the United States. They face Wrexham in San Diego on Tuesday, Real Madrid in Houston on Wednesday and Borussia Dortmund in Las Vegas on July 30.

Arsenal’s mistakes made the difference

Both of Manchester United’s goals in this game were helped by mistakes from Arsenal players.

Aaron Ramsdale should have done better to save Bruno Fernandes’ opener, while a terrible missed clearance from Gabriel allowed Sancho to break free for the second.

Even the penalty shootout was decided by an Arsenal mistake as Fabio Vieira missed the target completely with his shot.

An entertaining first half marked by two great goals has given way to a lackluster second half.

A solid pre-season win for Manchester United against a team that finished above them in the table last season.

Hydration break

The game is stopped, as it was during the first half, so that the players can have a drink.

Since Jorginho came in as a substitute for Saliba, Partey has been playing at right back.

Maguire is booked for a clumsy tackle on Odegaard. He ran down the back of the Arsenal player instead of trying to play the ball.
