Sancho’s Second Stint at Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund has welcomed back English winger Jadon Sancho on loan from Manchester United until the end of the season. The deal includes an option for Dortmund to make the move permanent for a fee of around £26 million.

Financial Terms of the Loan

During his loan period, Dortmund will be responsible for paying approximately £100,000 of Sancho’s weekly £250,000 wages, with Manchester United footing the remainder of the bill.

Sancho’s Struggles at Manchester United

Sancho’s time at Manchester United has been fraught with challenges. The winger has been noticeably absent from the pitch since August, following a reported disagreement with United’s manager Erik ten Hag. The dispute led to Sancho being excluded from first-team training, a decision that was publicly justified by ten Hag due to Sancho’s lack of commitment during practice sessions. Sancho disputed these claims on social media but did not issue an apology to ten Hag, resulting in his removal from the squad.

Looking for a Career Revival

With only 12 goals and 6 assists in 82 appearances since his high-profile £73 million transfer from Dortmund in the summer of 2021, the 23-year-old is seeking to rejuvenate his career with his former club. He is set to join the team at their Marbella training camp in the upcoming week.

Manchester United’s Current Standing

After a recent 2-1 defeat to Nottingham Forest, Manchester United sits in eighth place in the Premier League. The team is preparing to face Wigan Athletic in an away match in the FA Cup on Monday night.
