Michael Brown expects Leeds United to improve in every area and claimed they are trying to strengthen “early” in the window.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge, the former Whites midfielder delivered his verdict as Leeds step up their interest in Rangers winger Ryan Kent.
The Bears emphatically rejected Leeds’ opening offer worth up to £10million including add-ons but, as reported by Football Insider today, boss Marcelo Bielsa is set to lodge an improved bid for the attacker.
The Argentine delayed joining up with Leeds pre-season tour of Austrailia last summer to watch the 23-year-old play for Liverpool against Bradford in a friendly.
Kent joined Rangers on a permanent deal later that summer after spending the previous season on loan at Ibrox.
Asked by Football Insider whether Kent would improve Bielsa’s options, Brown said: “He’s obviously been impressed but at the moment it doesn’t seem to be gathering pace. Rangers won’t want to part with him.
