Danny Mills has claimed that Kiko Casilla could look to leave Leeds United this summer.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Elland Road defender suggested that the veteran Spaniard “might find it difficult” to play understudy to Illan Meslier, and may seek first team opportunities elsewhere.
As revealed by Football Insider, the former Real Madrid stopper has already been told that he will be Marcelo Bielsa’s number two going into the new Premier League season.
The Whites made Meslier’s loan move from FC Lorient permanent last month after an impressive debut season in England.
And Mills is unsure whether Casilla will be willing to deputise for the young Frenchman.
Speaking to Football Insider, he said: “He’s been deputy before, but I guess being deputy at Real Madrid is a little bit different to being deputy at Leeds United, when you’re winning Champions League and so forth.
