Michael Brown believes Leeds United are well placed to re-sign Tottenham defender Danny Rose as they look to strengthen at full-back.
The former Whites midfielder, speaking exclusively to Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge, insisted the deal has “every chance” of going ahead.
According to the Mail, Rose is a top transfer target for Leeds, with Marcelo Bielsa looking to add Premier League experience to his newly-promoted squad.
And Brown has suggested Leeds will need to add some experience to the side, in order to flourish in the Premier League next term.
“It has every chance, it’ll just come down to the finances involved and whether that deal can be done. That would be a good singing for sure,” Brown told Football Insider.
“They need some experience, but we’ve all seen Sheffield Untied go up and do well. I think under Bielsa they could kick on but they need a little bit of help in certain areas and you would say in that full-back position is something they’ll be looking at.

“They’ve got creativity for sure, wide areas and the top of the pitch will also be areas they will be looking at.”
Football Insider reported in June that Tottenham are planning to sell Rose for a knockdown fee of around £5million this summer, with the defender entering the final year of his contract.
Rose has his reportedly sights set on returning to international football and worries that a lack of game time under Spurs’ boss Jose Mourinho will hamper his chances.
Therefore, a move to his former club could be regarded as a good opportunity to gain the minutes he is longing for.
Rose ended the season on loan at Newcastle United, racking up 11 Premier League appearances for Steve Bruce’s men.
In other news, Leeds United are working on a deal to sign a brilliant Belgium centre-forward in cut-price deal.
