Kevin Phillips has urged Liverpool to sign Ismaila Sarr this summer after he received glowing feedback on the forward from his contacts at Watford.
The former Sunderland and Hornets striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider correspondent Dylan Childs, claimed that the 22-year-old “will only get better” and would be a “great signing” for “any of the big clubs”.
Sky Sports revealed that Watford are willing to sell their star attacker but will only consider bids upwards of £40million.
The report claims that Reds have regular watched the Senegal international who scored a brace against Jurgen Klopp’s side at Vicarage Road earlier this year.
His 30 appearances last season yielded six goals and six assists as Watford were relegated from the Premier League on the final day of the campaign.
When asked by Football Insider if he would be a welcome addition at Anfield, Phillips said: “He would be a good signing for Liverpool. I like him a lot.
