The 23-year-old was on a three-year contract with the Citizens between August 2019 and August 2022, but never made a senior appearance for the club.
Porro spent a year on loan with Spanish side Real Valladolid in the 2019-20 campaign before joining Sporting Lisbon on a two-year temporary deal.
Sporting activated Porro’s buyout clause of around £7.2m (€8.5m) in the summer, with Man City inserting a 30% sell-on clause in the deal .
A recent report says so Tottenham Hotspur have expressed their interest in Porro, with Antonio Conte ready to strengthen his options in the side.

Porro is under contract at the Estadio Jose Alvalade until June 2025, but the report adds that Man City have the option to re-sign Porro for less than half Sporting’s value as they include a £17.6m buy-back clause in his package. .
