Arsenal playing with fire
9′ Manchester City 0-0 Arsenal
A mistake from Holding gives Haaland a clear save on goal, but Turner is quick to pounce to attack the ball away.
The ball goes up in the air and with Turner out of position, Haaland goes for a bicycle kick. He makes good contact but Tomiyasu is there to prevent the ball from reaching the goal.

Haaland and Holding arguing
2′ Manchester City 0-0 Arsenal
Haaland and Holding get into quite a physical fight with each other as Haaland looks to get in behind the defence.
As both players go to ground, the home fans feel that Haaland has been fouled, but the referee gives Arsenal a free-kick.

How to watch Manchester City vs Arsenal
The first meeting of the season between the two pace-setters in the Premier League is sure to be keenly watched, and the fact that it comes in a single-elimination game only adds to the drama.
UK fans can watch the game on ITV1, while those in the US can stream it on ESPN+.
If all else fails, you might be able to find a car high enough to look down on the Etihad, like these fans did during Arsenal’s win over Oxford United in the last round.

Mahrez and Saka among the nominees for player of the month
No player in the league had more goal involvements in January than Riyad Mahrez’s five.
Saka, meanwhile, made two massive plays against great opposition, assisting in the north London derby before scoring against Manchester United.

Recent history face to face
During the Guardiola era, Manchester City have owned Arsenal, winning 13 of their 16 meetings (D1 D2) since the Spaniard took charge of the club.
There are plenty of reasons to believe it could be different today, but not the least of which is Arsenal’s position at the top of the table.
But another reason is their record of success against City in this competition. The north London club have beaten City in each of their last four FA Cup meetings in both 2017 and 2020 en route to lifting the trophy.

All eyes on Mahrez
Riyad Mahrez has been involved in seven goals in his last five FA Cup games (6 goals, 1 assist).
He has scored twice in each of his last two games at the Etihad Stadium in the competition, against Fulham last year and against Chelsea earlier this month.

Guardiola chooses a strong team
I had wondered if Pep Guardiola would go with the ‘fit’ team (plus De Bruyne) for this FA Cup match, or if he would give opportunities to the players who have struggled the most since the World Cup, such as Walker and Cancelo.
Everything would have been “strong”, but looking at this XI, you could say that he has chosen his most “trusted” line-up.

Why Man City were happy to sell Zinchenko and Jesus to Arsenal, and would do it again
If you look at the basic facts that Manchester City sold Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko to Arsenal in the summer and that Arsenal now look very good at the top of the Premier League while City are five points behind after having played one more game, then It’s easy to say it was a mistake to sell them to the north Londoners.
Much has been made of these two transfers in recent months and they would certainly go down in Premier League history if Arsenal win the title this season, although it may not be repeated never mention again if City close the gap and are crowned champions. for the third consecutive year. It makes you think.
