Ten Hag’s strong training options

Despite making six changes from Saturday’s win at Reading, it is United’s second consecutive Cup line-up that feels stronger than expected.

This is especially true when you consider the 3-0 lead, the three-day gap to Crystal Palace at home and the problems caused by the injury to Christian Eriksen, suffered when he could have sat comfortably on the sidelines.

Expect the plan to put United’s place in the Wembley final beyond doubt early on and then make the changes.
