Danny Mills has launched a staunch defence of Newcastle United manager Steve Bruce after their 4-1 defeat to Manchester United.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider correspondent Dylan Childs, the former Manchester City and England full-back delivered his verdict after Bruce faced fresh criticism from Newcastle fans.
After the game #bruceout was trending on Twitter with supporters lamenting their collapse at the end of the game which saw them concede three times in the final 10 minutes.
Bruce has been under constant criticism since replacing the popular Rafa Benitez at the beginning of last season.
The 59-year-old said after the defeat to United: “It is work in progress for us. We have tried to change and with that it will take time. The defeat looks worse than it really was.”
And now Mills has now come to the defence of Bruce.
