Paul Robinson has claimed that Newcastle United fans are “fed up” of speculation surrounding a potential takeover at St. James’ Park.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider correspondent Jason Jones, the former England international also suggested that he would like to see the Magpies give their full backing to Steve Bruce in the coming months, regardless of who is in charge of the club next season.
The Shields Gazette reported last week that the Bellagraph Nova Group, fronted by Singaporean cousins Terence and Nelson Loh, have launched a bid to buy the Magpies from current owner Mike Ashley.
Since then, The Sun have reported that the consortium are keen to install Toon legend Alan Shearer as manager at St. James’ Park if a deal for the club is completed.
But Robinson has suggested that the constant rumours are growing tiresome, while also throwing his support behind Bruce’s time in the north east.
Speaking to Football Insider, he said: “I think the Geordies are fed up of takeover talk.
