Club rejects £30m bid from Magpies
Newcastle are in the running to sign Tino Livramento from Southampton following relegation to the Championship last season, but they are driving a tough business. The Saints are unwilling to part with the right-back and have rejected a bid from their former Premier League rivals for his signature.
According to talkSPORT, the Magpies have made a £30m bid for Livramento, but Southampton have rejected him, valuing him closer to £50m. However, they do not really want to let go of the “impressive” defender, whose current contract runs until 2026.

‘New favourites’ emerge to sign the Newcastle man
Outcast goalkeeper Karl Darlow is set to move away from Newcastle this summer before his current contract expires next year. He has received interest from Bournemouth, but Leeds United have emerged as the ‘new favourites’ to strike a deal for the 32-year-old.
That’s according to NUFC Blog, who report that the recently-relegated Whites are offering a lower salary for Darlow but may give him regular game time with Illan Meslier expected to leave. Of course, the temptation of Premier League football with the Cherries is high, but it risks being low in the pecking order.
Newcastle have valued Darlow at £5m but are willing to accept less to complete a sale and remove him from their current wage bill.
