Norwich City news: Four senior stars to be sold with eight bids expected

Norwich City plan to sell Mario Vrancic, Josip Drmic, Moritz Leitner and Tom Trybull this summer, Football Insider can reveal.

All four senior players are seen as surplus to requirements by Canaries boss by Daniel Farke following their relegation from the Premier League.

The club expect bids imminently and the quartet could be sold before the start of the new Championship season, which kicks off on 12 September.

Drmic, Leitner and Trybull have two years remaining on their current deals while Vrancic is out of contract in the summer of 2021.

The Canaries also expect a flurry of offers for Jamal Lewis, Max Aarons, Ben Godfrey and Todd Cantwell in this transfer window.

However, a source at Carrow Road has told Football Insider that the club will reject any bids that do not match their valuation for their four prize assets.

Lewis, 22, Godfrey, 22, and Aarons, 20, have attracted much interest this year despite having played in a Norwich defence that conceded a league-high 75 goals in the 2019/20 campaign.

All three have age on their side and it is arguably their potential that is attracting some of Europe’s top clubs.

Liverpool have expressed their interest in Lewis but it has been reported that the two clubs are £10million apart in their valuation of the left-back.

Cantwell was the Canaries standout attacker last season with seven goals and two assists in his 40 appearances in all competitions.

The 22-year-old, who has two years left on his contract at Carrow Road, has been the subject of enquiries from both Spurs and Liverpool, as exclusively revealed by Football Insider in April.

Norwich are unlikely to be bullied by Premier League sides in pursuit of their top players having spent next to nothing after their promotion last summer.
