Manchester City are top of the table for Leeds United when the Premier League returns next month
2. Manchester City (H, December 28)
As tough a comeback as you could ask for, but the reigning champions have shown their vulnerability this season, especially after their last result where they lost 2-1 to Brentford. The dangerous man, of course, will be Erling Haaland.
3. Newcastle United (A, 31 December)
Things don’t get much easier as Leeds travel to high-flying Newcastle on New Year’s Eve. Miguel Almiron has been in fantastic form for the North East this season and will be one to keep an eye on.
4. West Ham United (H, January 4)
Just one point separates Leeds from the Hammers at the break, so their first game of 2023 will be a big one. A win would likely move them up the table and put huge pressure on the London side in the relegation battle.
