Rangers youngster Adedire Mebude is set to join Manchester City after turning down a professional contract at Ibrox, Football Insider understands.
The 16-year-old striker, who is the younger brother of Gers starlet Dapo Mebude, has risen through the ranks in Glasgow and is a Scotland youth international.
A source at Ibrox has told Football Insider that the youngster has snubbed the club’s offer of a pro deal and that he is set to join Manchester City’s academy instead.
As revealed by Football Insider earlier this month, 18-year-old Kai Kennedy has also rejected a new contract with Steven Gerrard’s men to leave his future in Glasgow up in the air.
The Gers have already seen the likes of Billy Gilmour leave Ibrox for England after he turned down a professional contract with the Scottish heavyweights.
The midfielder joined Chelsea as a 16-year-old and has gone on to establish himself as a hot prospect at Stamford Bridge.

Mebude looks set to follow in the footsteps of the former Gers starlet but will instead swap Glasgow for Manchester instead of London.
While the 16-year-old is only just establishing himself in the professional game, older brother Dapo has emerged as one of the most exciting talents currently on the books at Ibrox.
The 18-year-old forward turned professional back in 2017 and made his first-team debut as a substitute against Kilmarnock in 2019.
In other Rangers news, it can be REVEALED the club are in advanced talks to sell Alfredo Morelos for a record-smashing deal.
