The goalkeeper came through Pompeo’s academy in 2005 but made just 17 appearances for the club before joining Stoke City.

4 – Conor Chaplin

Chaplin is one of the latest players to come through Portsmouth’s academy and go on to play in the EFL.

The 25-year-old currently plays for Ipswich Town and is a regular in Kieran McKenna’s side. The attacker came through Portsmouth’s academy in 2015 and went on to make an impressive 122 appearances for the south coast side, bagging 25 goals and seven assists.

3 – Marlon Pack

Pack returned to Pompey this summer after leaving the club in 2011. He moved through the academy in 2009 and established himself as a key midfielder at clubs such as Bristol City and Cardiff City.

The 31-year-old was re-signed by Danny Cowley this summer after being a free agent, with the midfielder now 17 times for Pompeo.
