As Manchester United enter the winter transfer window, they will be keeping their eyes peeled and ears open for any bargains.
The Glazer family have publicly admitted they would like to sell the club, but it is not expected to be completed until the second quarter of next year. And so the already dwindling cash cupboard is unlikely to be replenished and spent on glitzy new signings.

With only one recognized first-team striker, Anthony Martial, on their books, Ten Hag look to have a good pick for 2023. And that’s if Martial stays fit and healthy, which he has struggled to do so far.
Another area of concern will be the goaltending department. Although David de Gea’s performance has certainly improved since the Dutch coach took over, the Spanish goalkeeper – who was not part of his country’s World Cup squad – is not in the squad that Ten Hag flight.

Ten Hag clearly have a style of play and want to implement foundation building from the back, which means having a goalkeeper they implicitly trust to handle the ball well.
There have been other reports suggesting that Manchester United are lining up Diogo Costa, FC Porto and the Portugal number one to come in and take the starting position at Old Trafford.
If the Red Devils decide to let De Gea go at the end of the season, it is more than likely that two goalkeepers will be brought in, which could be the more expensive Sommer and Costa offer to fight for the number one spot.
