The Hoddle of Coffee: Tottenham Hotspur News and Links for Friday, December 2

good morning good morning

The World Cup cannot last forever. And when it’s over, the Spurs will have a few days off until they finally return to action.

But it will be a truncated month of action. Tottenham Hotspur have one – and only one – game in December.

So mark your calendars for December 26, when Spurs travel to Brentford for a Boxing Day clash.

I’m grateful Tottenham don’t have to travel much so soon after the World Cup period. We keep things local. Let the boys play for a couple of hours and spend the night with their families.

Tottenham Hotspur Women

It’s not often that the women’s team has a more compact schedule than the men’s.

Spurs’ women’s side have three games this month, including a derby against West Ham on December 11.

But first comes a trip to Reading, the second-bottom club in the Women’s Super League. Spurs will be hoping to bounce back from a disappointing 0-3 result against Chelsea last month.

But Tottenham also passed eight (!!!) Brighton in October. If they can do that against them, surely they can score more against a worse Reading side? right?

They also enter FA Cup competition this month, facing Soton in the third round.
