A club statement said: “Since April, we have enjoyed extensive consultation with a wide and diverse range of supporters about the new artwork that will adorn the exterior of the Emirates Stadium. We started with a role in white and the sole intention of working with our community to create art that expressed what Arsenal stands for in 2023.

“With the commitment, support and input of the Arsenal family, we are now very close to completing eight works of art that are true to who we are, what we are and who we stand for as a club. We are delighted to launch new artwork in January and many fans may have noticed that with the World Cup taking a break from our men’s matches we’ve already started removing the existing art. While this means that the ‘stadium will be “undressed” for a few weeks, we hope you’ll agree that it will be worth the wait! We look forward to sharing more details soon.”
