Alan Hutton insists that Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson would be a good squad signing for Tottenham this summer.
The former Spurs and Scotland defender, speaking exclusively to Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge, believes the 28-year-old could be signed for a cut-price fee after the Cherries’ relegation to the Championship.
As revealed by Football Insider, Jose Mourinho has personally made contact with the centre-forward to assess whether he would be keen on a move to north London.
Hutton admits that Spurs definitely need some attacking reinforcements to help support Harry Kane and insists that Wilson would be a welcome addition to the club.
Hutton told Football Insider: “I do think they need someone. Before all this pandemic stuff and Harry Kane was missing it was a really difficult time for them, obviously they had Son missing as well.
“I think Callum Wilson who can play number nine or from out wide, I think he gives them a couple different options. They could possibly get him on the cheap now they’ve been relegated.
