Transfer news LIVE! Chelsea FC agree €30m deal; more Caicedo to Arsenal talks; Porro to Spurs delayed


As the January deadline approaches, Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham are among the clubs still looking to cut big deals in the transfer market. The Gunners are pushing for Moises Caicedo but Brighton have rejected a bid. Ibrahima Bamba has also been linked with Arsenal as Barcelona continue to lead the race for Martin Zubimendi.

At Chelsea, Enzo Fernandez’s name is still refusing to leave their list and they are eyeing a move for Lyon’s Malo Gusto, despite the French side issuing a no-action warning. The Blues also remain interested in Caicedo, who is reportedly considering handing in a transfer request.

Arsenal and Brighton remain in talks with Brighton over a deal for Moises Caicedo after an initial bid of £60m was rejected.

The Gunners are interested in signing Caicedo before Tuesday’s deadline as they look to bolster their midfield following Mohamed Elneny’s knee injury.

On Friday morning, they made an initial bid of £60m but it was rejected by Brighton, who insist their star midfielder is not for sale this month.

Sander Berge: Sheffield United confirm interest in midfielder

Sander Berge has seemingly been linked away from Sheffield United since the moment he arrived.

Indeed, the Norway international playing in the Championship was not what many would have predicted a few years ago.

Now both Liverpool and Chelsea have been linked with a move for the player and Blades boss Paul Heckingbottom has confirmed there is interest in Berge.

Malo Gusto: Chelsea agree deal to sign Lyon defender

Well, it looks like Malo Gusto IS staying at Lyon this month despite interest from Chelsea.

It will probably be on loan though.

According to David Ornstein, Chelsea have agreed to sign the 19-year-old, but he will not join until the summer.

Lyon manager Laurent Blanc has dismissed any suggestion that Malo Gusto will leave the club this month.

The France Under-21 international is a target for free-spending Chelsea as Graham Potter looks to cover for Reece James.

Gusto is believed to have already agreed personal terms with the Blues and wants to move to Stamford Bridge this month.

The Ligue 1 club, however, want to keep Gusto for the rest of the season, even if he was on loan after selling him to Chelsea.

Chelsea writer Simon Phillips claims Sheffield United’s Berge is now a potential target, with the 24-year-old seen as a more realistic option than some of the other targets.
