WOLVES star Adama Traore had BABY OIL rubbed over his arms to stop defenders grabbing him before the Europa League win against Olympiakos.
The club came up with the novel way of helping protect the lightning quick winger after he was targeted by desperate opponents.
This is the novel way Wolves are making sure Adama Traore isn’t tugged by defenders
Traore has enjoyed a stellar season and has attracted reported transfer interest from Manchester United and Juventus.
One way opponents have tried to halt his foraging runs is to tug back the 24-year-old former Barcelona youth player.
So as SunSport exclusively revealed, before games the physio team rub oil over his limbs to make him slippery enough to escape.
Defenders grabbing him was playing havoc with the winger’s troublesome shoulder, which he dislocated at home to Spurs in December.
Since then it’s popped out a further four times, most recently against Sheffield United earlier this month.
Traore has been bravely soldiering on with the help of a bespoke brace which Wolves had specially made to help protect their burly forward – and they are using that on top of the oil.
“It’s something we’ve had to do to protect Adama,” a Wolves insider confirmed.
“Defenders are so worried about him getting away from them with his pace they were reaching out and tugging at his arm.
“That was causing the shoulder to pop out during games.
“Lubricating his arms makes it harder for opponents to grab him and helps prevent further damage.”
