Jesse Lingard cheered on his England teammates from a pub as the Three Lions made a winning start to their Euro 2020 campaign.
Raheem Sterling’s 57th-minute strike was enough to give Gareth Southgate’s men the perfect start to the tournament as they beat Croatia at Wembley.
Lingard was left out of England’s 26-man squad, despite scoring nine goals and registering four assists in 16 appearances in a successful loan spell with West Ham last season.
The 28-year-old did not let that disappointment stop him from supporting his country, though.
Lingard watched on from a pub with England fans in a Three Lions shirt with Declan Rice’s name and number on the back of it.
Peculiarly, Lingard uploaded a picture of himself with a parrot on his right shoulder.

A video then showed Lingard singing England’s national anthem, ‘God Save the Queen’, with fellow supporters ahead of kick-off.
The midfielder, whose Manchester United future remains uncertain, also went live on Instagram for a few minutes before ending the stream.

Lingard will look to continue playing regular football in the 2021/22 season to win back his place in the England squad.
He has won 29 caps and starred for his country at the 2018 World Cup.
